Palomino was built by K. Hovnanian and the homes are located in two different locations.  The first is on the north side of the pond and west side of Dove Canyon.  In this location there are 73 homes on lots that are  minimum of 7,350 sf (70×105).  The builder then purchased 24 lots that are slightly smaller (60×105) immediately south of Bernardo Center Dr. and Oak Valley Middle School and built the same floor plans on those lots.

The neighborhood is often described as “big homes on small lots”.  And the lots aren’t really small – the homes are just big.  The homes range from 4,132 sf to over 4,600 sf, and most feature a 4 car garage.   Plan 1 features a downstairs master bedroom and has three bedrooms and a loft upstairs.  There is an option on this plan that added 300 sf above the garage.  This space is either as a loft or a second master bedroom.  In cases where the loft is taken, the existing loft is converted to a 5^th bedroom.   Plan 2 has a bedroom downstairs and either 3 plus a master retreat or 4 bedrooms upstairs.  There is also a large (over 400sf) loft upstairs. 

Plan 3 has a lot of variations.  There is a library downstairs at the entry and across the hall either a downstairs bedroom or an office.  The kitchen features dual islands and the butler’s pantry has an option to be a closed wet bar.  The upstairs typically features 4 bedrooms plus a 300sf room that can either be a bedroom, bonus room or theatre.
